MYCOBlock is an innovative startup based in Edinburgh that specializes in growing interior design accessories made from biodegradable mycelium material. Their founder, Hanys, is passionate about sustainability and sees the future in cultivating materials. As soon as he discovered mycelium, he was smitten, and he spent countless hours perfecting the process of growing mushrooms in different forms for various purposes.

Based on our discussions, I had quite clear idea of the logo style that would work best for MYCOBlock. I wanted to incorporate a mushroom shape as a negative space within the letter M and draw attention to the part below, symbolizing mycelium. These two elements are inextricably linked and complement each other nicely, while also conveying their meaning effectively.

Finally, there's an alternate version of the logo that includes a symbol of biodegradability beneath the negative-space mushroom. This further highlights the sustainability features of mycelium.
